It’s 2015! And I can’t wait to fill this gorgeous journal up with lots of beautiful moments, dreams, photos and achievements.
So, I’ll be honest. I haven’t quite recovered from what was a pretty amaaayyzing holiday season full of family gatherings, eating, drinking, and being quite merry indeed. (There was a minor mishap relating to anaphylaxis which saw me riding an ambulance with Mr 2 and him in the hospital under observation for a few hours… no biggy… but a story for another time).
Sorry, it’s been quiet – I was unplugged for most of December; spending much of it preparing my head and heart for what ended up being a beautiful Christmas celebration with loved ones. I even spent some time pondering over the contents of last year’s Memory Jar.
Mr 2 loved looking at his photos and my heart melted reading the simple moments and achievements I would have otherwise forgotten, had I not made an effort to get them down.
I got back in the office this week and took a while getting back into the groove. I was working on a site rewrite and redesign throughout Nov-Dec, and now that the project is over the line and the site is live, I can get back into a (somewhat) normal writing rhythm again. To wrap up what has been a fabulous year-end (work-wise), I wrote about all the mistakes I made on Redii’s blog.
Now I can happily focus on the year ahead, and all the goodness in store. In this spirit, here are a handful of my goals/wishes/prayers for 2015, in no particular order:
- Dedicate more of my week to Mr 2 (who will be turning into Mr 3 in a few months… *sigh* time does fly).
- To achieve #1: go back to part-time / freelance work.
- Buy a house.
- Get published more.
- Get cracking on my Dad’s memoirs. 500 words every fortnight, minimum.
- Listen to more (non toddler-related) music, more often.
- Turn 30 gracefully.
What about you? What are you looking forward to this year?
