Writing has long been part of my prayer routine, but lettering gives me an opportunity to mix contemplation with creation. If you've tuned into Episode 4 of At the Well Podcast, you'll know the backstory to this particular Christmas card.

This is available (along with the other 2019 designs) at www.findingjoy.blog/shop and soon also at the piety store in Our Lady of the Angels, Rouse Hill. 😊🥰😊 Want to listen to the podcast? Check it out on Soundcloud now! Link is in my bio.

Instagram post 2189281095061444671_1432484997 That feeling when hours of learning, trying, failing, trying again (i.e. creating) pays off. Loved painting this sign for a dear friend's family gathering. 🥰 Lots of room to grow, but happy to embrace imperfection if there's progress.

Instagram post 2183534393050494979_1432484997 “I know that you as young people have great aspirations, that you want to pledge yourselves to build a better world. Let others see this, let the world see it, since this is exactly the witness that the world expects from the disciples of Jesus Christ; in this way, and through your love above all, the world will be able to discover the star that we follow as believers.” - ADDRESS OF HIS HOLINESS POPE BENEDICT XVI, WYD2005, Marienfield, Cologne, Germany.

Instagram post 2182403319066880954_1432484997 Many events of the last few weeks have provided me a chance to pause and reflect on the things in life that I am really grateful for. Family is a big one, as is my health, even despite the challenges I've had staying on top of chronic issues this year.
On this long list of blessings that I am overwhelmed by is the community that I have grown up around. For years I have had the honour of encountering so many kind, wise, and generous souls who have been a living testament of God's profound and transformative love. These people have supported me, corrected me, given me opportunities, pushed me pursue even the craziest of ideas, and been there to lean on or cry with when I have felt lost, alone and afraid. I would not be where I am today, doing any of what I am doing, without that community.
Whenever I get a chance to pay forward what I have received in abundance from this precious gift, I do what is in my power to take it.

That's why supporting @thehustle.society has been a no brainer. I might not play basketball, but I do know the importance of being on a team, and the fruit that comes from connecting with, learning from, growing alongside and lifting others. That is exactly what this space and this mission is all about.
